Mr. Schwarz is experienced in all aspects of federal and state taxation, including advising with respect to domestic and international corporate transactions, tax-free reorganization, executive compensation, and handling tax controversy matters.  Mr. Schwarz regularly acts as lead counsel in M&A transactions, including significant business sales to both strategic and private equity buyers, as well as, representation of buyers in connection with acquisitions.

As a member of the Firm’s Business Services Group, Mr. Schwarz also has significant experience in assisting clients with business formations, commercial transactions, review and drafting of commercial agreements including employment agreements, phantom stock plans, stock option plans, supply agreements, distribution agreements, service agreements and operating agreements.

Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Schwarz served as a shareholder at Graham Curtin, a Professional Association, where he worked since 1997 representing corporate and private clients in tax, corporate and transactional matters.  Prior to Graham Curtin, he served as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Carleton D. Powell of the United States Tax Court. He is also a licensed Certified Public Accountant (North Carolina).
