“Oh You’re So Reserved: Trends and Topics in Reservation of Rights Letters”

March 7, 2022: Joseph G. Harraka, Jr. Esq. served as a Moderator and Speaker at the ABA 2022 Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee CLE Seminar

Philadelphia, P.A., March 2022 – Joseph G. Harraka, Jr., a member of the Firm and Erik B. Derr, an associate in the Firm’s litigation department, both of whom specialize in coverage related matters for various insurance company clients, recently attended the ABA 2022 Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee CLE Seminar held at the Lowes Ventana Canyon resort in Tucson, Arizona from March 2-5, 2022. Becker LLC was a bronze sponsor of the event.

Mr. Harraka, a member of the Firm’s Executive Committee, who serves as Chairman of the Firm’s Insurance Coverage Group stated “our Firm’s attorneys have been attending various ABA meetings of leading coverage attorneys for the past several years and we were proud to again be a sponsor of this event. I find it very helpful to keep informed of the latest developments in coverage law and to learn from fellow insurance professionals and experts from throughout the country.” Harraka continued: “Erik and I were pleased to have taken part in one of the more practically oriented programs scheduled for the meeting and we both enjoyed taking part in the event’s meetings and networking events, including the Friday afternoon outing at the resort’s golf course designed by Tom Fazio.”

Mr. Harraka moderated and served as a speaker for one of the event’s scheduled programs entitled – “Oh You’re So Reserved: Trends and Topics in Reservation of Rights Letters” – which addressed recent legal decisions regarding, and state specific requirements for, reservation of rights letters and best practices for insurers to adopt in light of such decisions.
