The New York City Council has overwhelmingly passed a bill that would make it unlawful for an employer to inquire about or rely on an applicant’s compensation history on an application or at any time during the hiring process. The bill is expected to be signed by the Mayor and the law is expected to take effect sometime in October of this year. Read more...
